Three junior golfers from Zone 11 qualified for the Optimist Junior Golf Championship in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. They included Colburn Spears, of Kathleen who was second among boys 12-13. Colburn is the son of Fran and Jeff Spears. The International City Optimist Club gave Colburn $500.00, a new Nike Golf Bag, and other golfing items. (Shown here with Club President Andy Thomas)
